Well, the biomass microgenerator was something Seton was working on (super high efficiency fire box and micro-turbine) but two things happened 1) we had to scale back our costs and 2) I dont think his system is fully tested and ready for release yet.

If you are interested in exploring it - let me know and I can put you in contact with Mr. Seton - he lives closer to you than we do (Montana) so shipping would be less onerous.

So Jean Pain methods use composting wood to make methane? I didnt see what sort of gas in my googling yet (was a quickie search). I wonder if you might have issues with temps killing your process and you may need to insulate a lot.

I know that there are canadian biofuel profs and engineers that are exploring extremophile organisms that are found in permafrost that generate methane (or similar burnable gases) at much lower temps than other organisms. This way you could have a lagoon of manure from your animals (some very furry hogs?), covered or not, that you can then use to generate cooking/heating gas to use and sell. If you want more info on that I can get it to you. Might be neat to be a test site.

Lady, you take some great pictures...and seems like you grow a mean garden too. Great work and good luck with this year's efforts. I am curious to know more about your biomass microgenerator. I've got some ideas for using the Jean Pain method to produce natural gas for year round greenhousing.

Peace to you, to all.
